Shelli Poole

Already in a love affair with technology in my early 20s, I volunteered as a radio DJ in Little Rock. I soon moved to a paid gig, and then learned video production and journalism skills in college and various television jobs. One jobs as producer for a city, made me a captive audience for city and school board meetings. There I learned how much power local government holds. My next job as a graphic designer for a state agency got me closer to "how things work" in government and politics. Having moved from a short-lived residence in Dallas to the outskirts of Benton, I began to learn about my new home. I documented it with my 1.3 megapixel camera, and posted about it on the internet. The hobby grew to be something my neighbors relied on. In a few years, it was evident I would have to change to this self-made career that is now MySaline.com.
