Shoppach House Museum

ABOUT US

The Shoppach House was built in 1852 by John W. Shoppach, an immigrant from Germany. This brick structure was built with bricks made on site and was the first and oldest brick home in Saline County. The Shoppach house was home to 5 generations of the Shoppach family and contains items that belonged to family members. Also found in the house, are donated items of the same era from community members interested in the preservation of the history of Saline County.
